The Rock Basically Plays Himself In A Movie

Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson became the second highest paid actor on the 2018 Forbes list. Before joining the acting society, we knew him as a professional wrestler, and before that he played college football.

Fighting With My Family, The Rock’s latest comedy, which is based on the true events and is about WWE Superstar Paige and sacrifices and challenges on his journey to become pro wrestler.

Johnson is obviously good at playing these kind of characters, in all of his full adrenaline-rushed energy, and he proved it to us many times in movies such as Rampage, Skyscraper, Central Intelligence, Baywatch, Jumanji, San Andreas and the Fast & Furious franchise.

In this new comedy, Johnson will also play a producing role. He tweeted about being honored to be able to tell Paige’s story.

On 14th February, 2019, Fighting With My Family will be released in Los angeles and New York, while wide release will happen on 22nd February, 2019.

Production company Seven Bucks Productions, owned by The Rock and his ex-wife, Dany Garcia, will get a new Head of Television & Digital Development by hiring former WME agent, Kevin Hill.

Garcia and Johnson made a statement about it: „We couldn’t be more thrilled to officially welcome Kevin into the family. Throughout his hard work with us at WME, Kevin has proven a deep understanding of the Seven Bucks ethos and ability to make groundbreaking and ambitious projects happen. He’s been a key driver of our growth, and we’ve been huge fans of his talents from the moment we first met.“

We can’t wait for The Rock’s new projects.
