They will also cash out Ryan Reynolds to the tune of $27 million for Six Underground, a story of a billionaire financing his own vigilante unit.
Next, in line, we have Dwayne the Rock Johnson, who will earn $20 million for his role in Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw. Robert Downey Jr will get the same amount for The Voyage of Doctor Dolittle. It is shaping out as a great year for Will Smith, who will get an additional $17 million for returning to Bad Boys.
As far as ladies go, Emily Blunt will get between $12 and $13 million for the sequel of A Quiet Place, while Gal Gadot will get $10 million for Wonder Woman sequel. Harley Quinn in Birds of Prey will earn Margot Robbie similar amount.
Sources are conflicting about how much Netflix has offered to Denzel Washington, with some claiming that the total offer was worth about $30 million. If that turns out to be true, Denzel will be placed second among the best-paid actors.
Just how low Hollywood studios are paying these days is illustrated by the fact that Tom Cruise for the reprisal of his iconic Maverick in a Top Gun reboot will get only $12 to $14 million. Netflix seems to be dominating the market here and it is no wonder so many actors are eager to work with them.
