Oscar-winning actress and ageless icon Halle Berry looks incredible. And it’s all thanks to her ketogenic diet. She swears by the ketogenic diet. She says it helps her stay slim and keeps her diabetes in check.
The ketogenic diet is no sugar, no carbs. Nothing white. Halle fills her diet with healthy fats, like avocado, coconut oil, and butter.
In an interview with “People TV,” Halle explained her diet in greater detail. Eggs, protein, and nuts, are part of her plate, along with lots of veggies. Her meals are far from deprivation. “You can eat all the food you want.” “You can eat a big-ass porterhouses steak if you want. “ “You just can’t have the baked potato.”
Her Instagram gives a little peek into some of her favorite meals. Here are some of her favorite keto snacks- prosciutto and arugula roll-ups, zucchini chips with guac, skinny pop mini popcorn cakes.
Halle has said she drinks bone broth because it only has one gram of carbs per cup. One of Halle’s favorite keto meals is cauliflower crust pizza. “I snack my ass off, I just snack my ass off on healthy things.” The 51-years-old actress also touted the benefits of intermittent fasting.
Halle and her trainer, Peter Lee Thomas, hosted a talks series on Instagram, where they recently discussed their methods of intermittent fasting. Halle said she fasts in the morning, sitting down for her first meal around 2 p.m.!
”Not that I don’t get nutrients and vitamins and minerals (during that time)” …”I just don’t sit down and have a meal”.
The keto diet and intermittent fasting are closely linked. When you combine them, you may even help promote or enhance ketosis. But, a friendly reminder: Both diets are pretty hard to maintain. Neither are necessary means to be long-term solutions to weight loss. “Generally, whenever you do something like this, it’s extreme. “ “Most extreme things, you lose weight “ “But that doesn’t mean it’s good.” So doing them together may be even more difficult. Still, Halle says it works for her. The results don’t lie.
