The World’s Deepest Swimming Pool Soon to Be Opened in Poland

The new swimming pool which will soon open in Poland will be the deepest pool in the world. This swimming pool will feature underwater caves and overhangs and it will be 45 meters (148 feet) deep.

The new pool is expected to hold 8,000 cubic meters of water. This is, in fact, 27 times the volume of an average 25-meter pool. It is currently being constructed in Mszczonow, a town less than 30 miles from Warsaw. In order to reinforce the structure, the construction workers are using about 1,100 tons of steel.

The new world’s deepest swimming pool will be a perfect training spot for professional scuba divers. Moreover, it features a simulated blue hole plunging down to its deepest point. Hence, this pool is going to be an ideal spot for both beginners and more experienced divers.

However, if you are not a fan of pool and you don’t want to get wet, you can still go and head to the underwater tunnel for spectators to enjoy the facilities.

Additionally, the new swimming pool will feature hotel rooms with a view, as well as, surrounding conference and training suites.

Until now, the record of the world’s swimming pool was held by the Italian Y-40 Deep Joy, which is situated in Montegrotto Terme resort area, near Venice.

As soon as it opens in autumn 2016, Deepspot will be the new world’s deepest pool. Nevertheless, it’s believed that it will be soon knocked off the top spot by the new pool expected to open in Britain in 2020. Britain’s swimming pool is currently being constructed in Colchester. It is named Blue Abyss and will be 50 meters deep.

Blue Abyss is not only a super-sized pool, but also a human performance center and a commercial astronaut training center.
