The new Miss Fisher’s Modern Murder Mysteries will be available for you to watch if you are from the US on Acorn TV.
Acorn TV has made an announcement this January that they own the exclusive rights to the two Miss Fisher’s spinoffs – Miss Fisher’s Murder Mysteries movie and the Miss Fisher’s Murder Mysteries spinoff series. The Miss Fisher universe is still here even though we might not have a season 4 of the show in the near future.
The new show will center on Phyrne Fisher’s niece, whose name is Peregrine Fisher and will be played by Geraldine Hakewill. The show will be set in the 1960s. After Phryne disappears and is thought to be dead, her niece gets her house and money and is inspired to become a detective herself.
The spinoff, Ms. Fisher’s Modern Murder Mysteries will have a similar theme and formula as the show before it. Joel Jackson will play the good-looking detective James Steed, Birdie will be played by Catherine McClements this role is mostly to be a mentor for Peregrine.
The show will be available to US viewers from April 29th on Acorn TV.
