Trump’s Hollywood Walk Of Fame Star Destroyed

Los Angeles police Officer Ray Brown has confirmed that President Donald Trump’s star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame was smashed by a man that used a pickax to destroy it. This case has been reported at 3:33 a.m. Wednesday after which police responded.

One of the bystanders Patricia Cox saw everything and later on gave a statement for the news that a man was on the ground “like it was his business just to be tearing up the ground.” She continued by saying “I thought it was work going on over here.”

Austin Clay, 24, was arrested by the police and he was taken in on suspicion of felony vandalism. At the moment, no motives have been revealed, and the man is in custody on $20,000 bail. In the aftermath of this incident, we saw multiple videos of people taking photos of the destroyed star as this certainly is one of the busiest tourist spots in Hollywood.

Leron Gubler, president and CEO of the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce gave a statement saying that the Walk of Fame is “an institution celebrating the positive contributions of the inductees. When people are unhappy with one of our honorees, we would hope that they would project their anger in more positive ways than to vandalize a California State landmark. Our democracy is based on respect for the law. People can make a difference by voting and not destroying public property.”

Trump’s star was added to the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2007, and it was a target of vandalism several times, more often after he became the president of the United States than before. A few of the street artists witnessed different scenes regarding the star, and they have quite a few tales to tell about this.

Francisco Javier, a street performer dressed like Superman said: “People often stomp with anger on the star, others kick their heels over the star, and some spit. The last time, someone put a sticker over the star.” Others even saw people deface it with paint and going so far as to allow a dog to relieve itself on the landmark.
