American President, Donald Trump, owns shares in a company that produces hydroxychloroquine, an anti-malarial medicine, which is promoted as a cure for coronavirus by the president himself. However, according to US doctors, there is no evidence to support these claims.
As the New York Times writes, Trump owns a small financial share in Sanofi, a French pharmaceutical company that produces Plaquenil, which is a variation of hydroxychloroquine. According to the source, Ken Fisher, a renowned financier of the Republican Party is among the biggest shareholders in the company.
Moreover, three of Trump’s family foundations invested in this company. The biggest shareholder in Sanofi is Sanofi itself. This information was published by the New York Times, who added that Wilbur Ross, American minister of Trade is connected with the same company.
According to them, the whole investigation started after the US President started to promote this anti-malarial medicine as a cure for coronavirus.
