10 Predictions in The Simpsons that Actually are Not Predictions

October 9, 2018

1. The Higgs boson mass

Source:fumettologica.it

Homer Simpson, in one episode, calculated something that will be officially proven in mathematics much later – a real-life mass of Higgs boson. Not only that this is an amazing prediction, but also a real discovery in physics and mathematics. The scientists officially confirmed this number 15 years after Homer! On the other hand, this mass was calculated for the first time in 1960. Not many people know that and writers in Fox did, but this can’t be attributed to the luck. They had the higher education than we thought. As the matter of fact, one of them attended Harvard when he was 16.

As we saw, writers on Fox TV are not prophets, but intelligent and inherit people, who are just more sensitive and smarter than other people. Whatever they are, we should be thankful for this funny and amazing TV Show they wrote for us!
