Can you imagine a person who doesn’t like snacks? Everyone loves snacks, and they are often times the casualty of weight loss. Namely, it can be hard to give up on snacks we want to lose weight. But what if we tell you that you can lose weight and enjoy snacks at the same time?

Snacks don’t always have to be bad for you. The definition of the word “snack” doesn’t really tell us whether something is healthy or not. But modern day society depicts snacks stuff like chips, Cheetos, and those kinds of stuff.

Well, buckle up because there are in fact healthy snacks out there, and we’re going to tell you the best ones.

1.  Mixed Nuts

Nuts are the real MVP when it comes to nutrition. There are so many kinds of nuts you can literary get lost counting them. Nuts are excellent for us because they are often times linked to reduced heart diseases, cancer prevention, depression, and other illnesses.

One might think that nuts are high in fats. Well, you are not wrong; however, nuts are very filling and have been found in multiple studies to help in losing weight. Nuts are excellent because they pack a whole mixed balance of fats, protein, and fibers.

2.  Red Bell Pepper and Guacamole

Everyone knows that peppers, especially the red bell, are extremely healthy for us.

Bell peppers are very nutritious and the red ones are rich in antioxidants such as carotene, capsanthin, and quercetin. Bell peppers are also rich in vitamin C, with one bell pepper containing more than 300% of the daily value for this vitamin.

The best way to utilize bell pepper is to combine it with guacamole that will keep you healthy with fats and fibers, all the while providing you just under 200 calories.

3.  Mixed Berries and Greek Yoghurt

Name me a person who hasn’t tried Greek yogurt mixed with berries. If you’re a fan of the popular TV show Brooklyn Nine-Nine, then you’ll know what Greek yogurt is.

According to experienced nutritionists such as Dherbs, mixing Greek yogurt with all kinds of berries proves to be healthier for us than it is delicious. Greek yogurt is rich in protein and berries are the perfect source for antioxidants. Combining the two will give your body a health bomb that you will definitely benefit from.

4.  Apple Slices with Peanut Butter

Now, we’re not sure that most of you have heard about this snack; however, it most definitely should be tried by everyone. This is because apples and peanuts go together far better than you’ve ever imagined. Apples are high in fibers and polyphenol antioxidants that improve our gut health and reduce the risk of developing heart diseases.

Peanuts, on the other hand, are good for our cholesterol (the good one) and reduce the bad one. However, with all that being said, peanuts are very high in calories so make sure you don’t go overboard.

5.  Cottage Cheese and Flax Seeds and Cinnamon

Cottage cheese, flax seeds, and cinnamon go impressively well together. All three ingredients are incredibly healthy with each one having its own benefits. Cottage cheese is high in protein and good for conjugated linoleic acid (CLA). Flax seeds are very beneficial for weight loss and blood sugar control, and they help out in reducing the risks of developing cancer.

Cinnamon also is good for our blood sugar and for our gut health. With so many benefits coming from all three ingredients, a combination of all makes a perfect yummy and healthy snack.
