Kirk Douglas Didn’t Leave Anything to his Son Michael!

The Hollywood legend Kirk Douglas, who died on February 5 at the age of 103, left most of his $80 million estates to the Douglas Foundation. That is a charity that he co-founded almost six decades ago. It benefits Douglas, and his wife created the foundation in 1964. Anne Douglas still serves as the nonprofit’s managing trustee.

“The Douglas Foundation’s principal goal is to help those who cannot otherwise help themselves,” says the group’s website.

“Its primary focus is improving education and health, fostering the well-being, and, most importantly, developing new opportunities for the child who hold our future in their hands.”

Kirk’s son is the famous actor Michael Douglas. He has two other sons as well, Joel and Peter. Since Michael is worth $300 million in his own right, he does not need to inherit anything. Michael, along with his wife, Catherine Zeta-Jones, praised his father’s charitable and loving ways.

“Kirk’s life was well-lived, and he leaves a legacy in the film that will endure for generations to come and a history as a renowned philanthropist who worked to aid the public and bring peace to the planet”, he said in his statement.

Kirk Douglas has an acting career that spanned seven decades. He received a lifetime achievement Oscar, in 1996, the Presidential Medal of Freedom in 1981, and he was also named to the French Legion of Honor in 1985.
