How Rihanna Changed Anne Hathaway’s Life

Thanks to Rihanna, Anne Hathaway fell in love with her own body. When Anne was feeling insecure about her weight, all in took was a comment from Rihanna to remind her that the scale isn’t always right.

Anne Hathaway wasn’t immune to postpartum insecurities. Her fears grew even more due to the nature of her job, having to expose her body in front of cameras and millions of people. Despite struggling with infertility, she gave birth to her son in 2016.

Her first movie after becoming a mom was “Ocean’s 8”, where she had to wear glamorous and tailored dresses.

In fact, she was still breastfeeding during the shooting. So the changes in her body seemed even more obvious. Anne knew it was normal to gain weight after giving birth, so she decided to inspire other women who were in the same situation as her.

“Bodies change. Bodies grow. Bodies shrink. It’s all love (don’t let anyone tell you otherwise).”

But, even though she knew she had nothing to worry about, her fears spoke louder.

Fortunately, her friends on the set of “Ocean’s 8” were the perfect remedy she needed to fall in love with her body again. The best example was when Anne went to work on a day, and she was especially aware of her extra pounds. She put on some jeans and gathered all the confidence she could muster. When she got to the studios, she was surprised by actresses’ reactions: “Looking good, mama.” That made her feel amazing! And then Cate Blanchett says: “Nice jeans Hathaway.”

But Rihanna had the best reaction. She was as funny as she was daring and loving. She looks up and goes:” Damn, girl! You got an ass!”

”And I, of course, freaked out and loved it so much. I was like: ”Really?”

And she goes: “You got an ass like me.”

Since Rihanna is constantly facing criticism over her weight, she knows how destructive these comments can be, and also how painful. So she’s not only a loyal supporter of her friends but of her fans too.

”I want women to feel confident no matter what size they are, no matter what shade of “nude” they are, no matter what their personality is, what their race is, their religion is. I want women to feel confident and sexy because that’s who we are, and we deserve to feel like that.”

That’s why Rihanna gave Anne the perfect compliment, at the moment she most needed it. Accepting your body after pregnancy is a tough challenge to face. But with friends like Anne had on “Ocean’s 8”, that weight on her shoulders became lighter. Tell us, who’s the Rihanna in your life?
